Colin Jaques
Elder
Colin was raised in North Yorkshire in a Christian home and came to faith as a young child. As a teenager he was involved Crusaders and was baptised in his late teens. Colin moved to London for university in the mid nineties and was heavily involved in both UCCF and The Navigators. After graduating, Colin spent a year working for the Navigators with students in London before returning to university for postgraduate studies in Biochemical Engineering.
During his student years Colin attended St Helen's Bishopsgate church where he met his wife Grace. Shortly after marrying in 2004 they took part in a church plant into the Eastend of London. In 2012 Colin and Grace moved to East London Tabernacle Baptist Church. Colin was appointed to the Eldership in July 2024.
Colin and Grace have two teenage daughters who have grown up in the Eastend and are actively involved in the life of the church. Colin works as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.
